My images usually begin with an original painting and an original photograph. I may or may not digitally alter them individually before combining them in a way that offers a unique blend of hand and computer. This photograph of St Micheal's statue was taken in the Chapel at the mount in 2017. From as far back as 495 AD, tales tell of seafarers lured by mermaids onto the rocks, or guided to safety by an apparition of St Michael who became the patron saint of fisherman. This powerful images sits beautifully in the eye of the painting created in 2018 as part of my final exhibition at University.
The prints shown here are giclée’s, a fine art digital printing process combining pigment-based inks with high quality 270 gsm archival paper.
The sizes are standard A4 and A3 which are 210 x 297 mm and 297 x 420 mm with a 10 mm border around the image.
