My images always begin with an original painting and an original photograph. This photograph of St Micheal's statue was taken in the Chapel at the mount in 2017. From as far back as 495 AD, tales tell of seafarers lured by mermaids onto the rocks, or guided to safety by an apparition of St Michael who became the patron saint of fisherman. This powerful image sits beautifully in the eye of this abstract yellow green and gold painting created in 2018 as part of my final exhibition at University.
